Follow the steps below to set up and connect Fitbit with your Fruit Street account, so you are ready to go in time for your first session! This will also allow you to start logging your weight manually for your coach to view.
- Download the Fitbit app on your smartphone or tablet.
- You will need the Fitbit app to use your new Fitbit scale. It’s free and has lots of other fun features as well!
- Click here to download the Fitbit app.
- Note: If you already have the Fitbit account downloaded and a Fitbit account set up, skip to step 3.
- Create a Fitbit account.
- Follow the prompts in the Fitbit app after downloading to create a free account or, if you prefer to set up your account on a computer, click here.
- Don't wait until your scale arrives to set up your account; your Fitbit account can be used to manually track your weight, and even your steps, while you wait!
- Connect your Fitbit account to Fruit Street in your Fruit Street web portal.
- Log into Fruit Street.
- Click Health Data at the top of your screen.
- Click Manage Devices in the upper right of your screen.
- When a pop-up opens, find Fitbit and click + Connect under it.
- A separate window will open. In this window, enter your Fitbit username and password.
- Click Login.
- Select what data you would like Fitbit to sync to Fruit Street. We recommend clicking "Allow All". This allows your coach to see your data and provide feedback which will allow you to get the most out of the program!
- Once you've completed these steps, your Fitbit should be connected to your Fruit Street account.
- Please give your Fitbit up to 48 hours to connect and start transmitting information to your Fruit Street account.
- Connecting your Fitbit account to Fruit Street allows you to see the data from your Fitbit devices and Fitbit account in Fruit Street, making Fruit Street your main hub for your all health data
- When you receive your Fitbit Scale, connect your Fitbit Scale to your Fitbit Account.
- This allows your scale to send and record your weights in your Fitbit account.
- Since your Fitbit account is connected to your Fruit Street account (as described in Step 3 above), you’ll also be able to track your weights there.

- If eligible, when you receive your Fitbit Tracker, connect your Fitbit Tracker to your Fitbit Account.
- This allows your Fitbit tracker to send and record your activity and steps to your Fitbit account.
- Once your Fitbit tracker is connected to your Fitbit account, your activity recorded from the tracker will start syncing to Scale Back since your Fitbit account is already connected to Scale Back.

- Check your Fruit Street account to make sure Fitbit is connected and data is syncing.
- Log in to Fruit Street on the web portal (not the mobile app).
- Click on Health Data, then click on Manage Devices on the right side.
- If your Fitbit account is connected, underneath Fitbit it will show a "Disconnect" button. This means your Fitbit account is successfully connected!
- If your Fitbit shows as "Pending," please wait up to 48 hours for it to fully connect.
- If your Fitbit shows as "Token Expired," click here and follow the troubleshooting steps.
- Click the "X" to close out of Manage Devices.
- In the Health Data section, you should see your data synced from your Fitbit account.
- If you do not see your Fitbit data syncing to Scale Back or if it is syncing incorrectly, please reach out to Support at 347-202-1101 or submit a request.
